The city is anticipating nearly 40,000 guests this weekend as more than 25,000 cyclists will depart Sioux City on Sunday, July 23, for the 50th Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa® (RAGBRAI).

It all started in Sioux City 50 years ago this year when Iowa's 4th largest city hosted the first ever RAGBRAI bicycle ride. The ride has started here seven times, and always throws a party for the thousands of cyclists ready for a week in the saddle.
