What would be the best way for the people that are coming in Sunday morning to get their stuff to the Semi’s, park at the airport, and bike(?) to the start?
1. What time on Saturday will the shuttles start to run from the airport to downtown? 2. Is there a designated longterm parking area for Ragbrai at the airport?
Yes, I am referring to long term parking. I believe that’s what this thread is about – “Long Term Parking Information.” I am following the thread comments and Beth asked if we need to register for long term parking as we have in other cities on previous rides. admin answered “You sure can.” It appears that both “skb” (see question on Jul10) and myself can’t find a place to register for that parking, though.
If you could point us in the right direction to get registered for parking, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
My flight is arriving at Sioux Gateway Airport at 10pm Saturday night. It looks like the shuttle bus stops running at 6pm. How would you recommend I get to camping for the night?
I’m at the airport. People should know that there is no special marked parking area for week-long Ragbrai parkers. We are to park in airport long-term parking. Also there seems to be limited cab service. You go inside the terminal and use a courtesy phone to call a cab. I also don’t think the shuttles run very regularly. I have been here forty minutes and haven’t seen one yet. Just FYI for people coming for Ragbrai and looking to park.
